too perfect for words :: upon a fold

Oh, lookee here!

This is such wonderful stuff, I'm telling you.  You're just gonna squeal...Thanks to my dear friend Sandra, I've become aware of a wonderful shop from Australia called Upon a Fold, and I'm totally in love.  It's the tiny-but-mighty shop of married duo Justine and Matt, and boy, have they got it goin' on.  They sell all sorts of carefully selected paper goods, from washi tape to gift wrap and much more that's unexpected.  Just look!:

I mean, can you stand it?!  A tiny paper dollhouse...

With furniture...!

This little beauty is quite small (15cm high) which just makes me love it all the more.

What else?  Well, there's Mr and Mrs Peg, brilliant little peg-paper dolls, who arrive like this:

And turn into this:

...complete with changes of outfit:

I swear, I've never seen anything so dang cute in my life.  Makes me crazy-happy.
And then there's the most adorable perpetual calendar in the world:

and some really rockin' paper earrings (who knew?!):

What else?  How about...

beautiful cards...

unbelievably dear origami paper...

and a wonderful selection of books!

And there's a blog, too!  Upon A Fold, don't miss it, my dears.  It's too terribly perfect for words.

Slowly moving in, here!  It's a bit like moving into a new house--I have to get all the pictures and cute stuff up.  Do bear with me, I'll get there.  (Oh! And don't forget to update your blog rolls!)

Thanks for reading, as always.  Cheers!

don't hurry, don't worry

Hello, all!

Thought I'd break-in the new digs with a cheerful, "sweet-life" round-up of goodness.  I do realize that culling favorites from etsy is not among my most inspired posts, but I'm still learning my way around over here, and if I must be honest, (I've come this far, why stop now?) this post took me two days.  Moving is always hard, as you no doubt are aware, and there is always that moment when you just want to go back, rather than forward, but I shall dig down deep and push on.

And besides, while my type of post may not be inspired, these creations truly are, so let's get crackin'!

Don't you love, really love, this beautiful zig zag cardigan from ovejanegra?....
Kick-a** "Life of Things" print from the wonderful treasurefrey...

Adorable "grade school seating" napkin rings from Brooklyn Rehab...

Sweet and ocean-y layered pleat tote from crazy-fab yorktownroad...

Cheerful spotty slippers from onstail...

Totally awesome (and you know I love it!) print from Mary Kate McDevitt...

Absolutely rockin' gnome dolls (especially the dude, no?) from rougeau26...

How's this for wonderfully cozy--any time of year?  Beautiful and unique wreath from Simple Joys Paperie...

Allicoate captured this moment perfectly..."diving board" print...

The most wonderful bunny brooch, from krise...

"rainbow urchin" by artist jen maestre...

Darling, darling "clover" linen-handled shoulder tote, from christina's...

And, lastly, let's all hear it for this week's mantra, brought to you by the fabulous me + mac:
"Don't hurry, don't worry, and never squat with your spurs on..."

That's it for now, my dears.  But I have so much planned for upcoming posts, and I'm very excited.  Thanks, huge thanks, to all of you who have travelled over here from the old blog (I think I'll call her Mabel) and of course, welcome to new visitors, too!

Make it one heck of a day, okay?

fancy meeting you here!

Well, hello!

It's me, it surely is! I'm on blogger now--and do take note, if you please, that it's "sweetsweetlife-amy.blogspot.com." How annoying--there's already another sweetsweetlife. But I can't change now, although I might have changed it to "sadsadlife" if you'd caught me a little sooner. But we won't go into that.

You know what is awful, though? I can't import my old blog on to this new one. I was all upset about it, and then I thought, "Well, old girl...You'll just have to make a new beginning. Again." And that is exactly what I shall do.

Please join me on a new adventure, filled with beauty, creating, good books, happy homes and the occasional wonky day.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and I'm so glad you're here.
